EDUCATION AND INFORMATION
The Ark works to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.We provide free informational and pet care brochures to individuals, schools, clubs and civic groups. We also publish a newsletter several times a year.
In conjunction with operating the animal shelter, we are active in area schools conducting innovative humane education programs reaching hundreds of children every year. The Ark also operates "The Animals Lending Library", a resource available to students and the general community. The library offers books on a wide range of animal related topics in addition to scholarship and contest information for students from grade school to college. With an extensive list of pet care related facilities and animal welfare organizations (domestic and wild) at our fingertips, we help many people each day who call The Ark for assistance.
