Mickey Lives Happily Ever After

Thanks to the generosity of caring and compassionate cat lovers, Mickey, the burned and broken cat determined to live after jumping from a second story window when a devastating fire destroyed his home, is now on the mend and has a forever home where he'll get the life-long care he needs and more love than any cat could want.

Extensive surgery on his shattered pelvis and back legs will require a long healing process, but Mickey takes it all in stride. No layabout, he's up and hobbling around, always ready for a pat or a cuddle. He may never have full mobility, but with a spirit like his, Mickey won't see it as a limitation, just another problem to solve.

Randall

Hello The Ark,

A few months ago we brought home Randall, an 8 year old Persian, into our home. Our current cats started playing with him only after a few hours, and it just took days for him to become great friends with Moppet, our 15 year old female Persian and Dexter, our 2 year old male Exotic Shorthair. The two boys have become almost inseparable; they constantly play, cuddle and sleep together. Randall LOVES cuddling, and is a very loving, sweet cat. Randall is doing great health-wise. The staff at our vet have fallen in love with his face and personality, and always ask how he's doing when I pick up his d/d diet food. I've attached some photos for you to see how he's doing in our happy family. I'm not sure if he ever did this at the shelter, but one thing he seems to like is sleeping with his head on an object--shoes, our hand vac, the TV remote, or anything on our coffee table. We love seeing which odd object he'll choose next to use as his pillow. He's a wonderful addition to our kitty family, I couldn't imagine a more perfect cat.

The Ark is a fantastic shelter, and I strongly recommend your shelter to anyone I talk with about animals or animal rescue. Keep up the great work!!

Chet-Jett

Hi everybody,

Chet (Jett) is doing great. It took him a while to figure out it was okay to get up on the furniture, but now he is making himself quite comfortable. As you can see, he and Angus have worked out the ground rules of sharing the couch -- fortunately they are well matched in size, if not in temperament. (Chet is the good cat.)

Sammy and Herald

Hi my name is Heather. I adopted Sammy and Herald December of 2010. They are doing wonderful! Sam is full of it; he is always waiting for your feet to come around the corner. Herald is like a puppy dog; he follows everywhere I go. I have a young tabby named "Molly". They all get along great! Thank you for the opportunity to adopt them. We love them so much!
