MICKEY is an all black, 8 month old neutered teenager. He came with his two siblings, both less shy than he, and both already adopted. A quiet boy, he
gets along just fine with all the shelter cats. Mickey is super sweet, although sometimes unsure of himself and a little hesitant in seeking out human attention. Click on his photo for a larger view.
LANNA is a darling silver and black tabby, a spayed girl who still looks like a kitten although she's 8 years old. Lanna was fraidy-scared of everything when she first came to the shelter. She is a Golden Years pet, with no adoption fee for senior citizens. Although this is still a daunting place for her, Lanna can be a friendly, affectionate kitty, hoping someone will recognize her finer qualities, and adopt her into their home. She been waiting an awfully long time. Click on her photo for a larger view.
MS PUSSYFOOT has been the shelter's ambassador of good will for so many years, she doesn't want to give up her position of superiority. She has the run of the shelter's main rooms, welcoming new cats and even welcoming many cat-friendly dogs. In fact, from her perspective, she actually runs the shelter and we are here to do her bidding. At 17 plus years, Ms Pussyfoot has developed some age-related health issues requiring special daily care which we are happy to provide. A matronly, quiet cat, Miss Pussyfoot is affectionate and talkative, definitely a people cat, happy to show off her "forever" home to all the visitors. Click on her photo for a larger view.
TONTO is a year old neutered male. With his Lone Ranger black mask over his white face and bib, he's as cute as can be, but he's very scared here at the shelter. While Tonto gets along with other cats, he's shy and skittish with people. He is just beginning to come around at the shelter. Tonto is in need of a quiet, adult-only home with patient, understanding people to bring him out of his shell. Click on his photo for a larger view.
ACE is a white and tiger striped neutered kitten who gets along with other cats. While he is quite shy, he does enjoy petting, but has not yet outgrown the skittish stage, and he does play when he thinks no one is watching. We think he'll eventually come out of his shell once he has a home of his own where life is not as scary as it is in the busy shelter environment. Click on his photo for a larger view.
MIA is a 1 1/2 year old spayed kitty, very loveable and loving. Although she doesn't care to be picked up, she adores being petted. Mia loves to play and she gets along with other cats in her community room at the shelter. This small, beautiful girl with the impressive motor purrrrr would fit in anywhere she is loved. MARY is a charmer, a 2 year old orange and white spayed female who enjoys being brushed and always welcomes a pat. Quiet and unassuming, Mary doesn't like trouble, so she is easily bullied by the other cats and doesn't come out when visitors arrive. Please ask to meet Mary when you visit the shelter. Mary is a very nice girl, a good match for a quiet household. Click on her photo for a larger view.
PIPPEN is a short haired, black cat, a neutered male, probably 1 or 2 years old. He's so very shy, visitors only see him curled up in an enclosed kitty condo, back to the outside world. Even though he's just a youngster, and a cute one at that, if he can't be seen, he's likely to be with us a long, long time. Click on his photo for a larger view.
JOSIE is black and white spayed girl born in October 2008. She's had kind of a tough time and can be timid, but like so many of our cats, she may turn into a love bug once she has the security of her very own home. Josie is playful and she likes other cats. Click on her photo for a larger view.
VERA is a small golden-eyed girl born in October 2008. Still a youngster, she is happy enough to be around other cats, although she is shy and timid with strangers. In her short life, there have been some scary times, making Vera unsure of herself and her place in the world. This cute, petite, spayed black girl with a white spot under her chin, a white napkin around her neck, and white socks on her feet, is hoping that if she purrs loudly enough someone will take her home. LYKON was surrendered along with his two siblings because there were too many cats in the household. A 4 month old, neutered ebony boy, Lycon is just as playful as you'd expect a kitten to be. He tumbles around with the other kittens and he's always up for a game of chase and fetch with people. When nothing else is going on, Lycon will entertain himself, sitting on a window sill, watching the world outside. Friendly and affectionate, he likes to be petted and cuddled. Small in stature, Lycon is big in personalty. Click on the photo for a larger view.
WOODY is a white neutered male with bright orange splotches who purrs in delight when his long white fur is brushed and combed. Born in June 2008, he is a former stray, and definitely wants to be an indoors-only fellow where safety is guaranteed. A sweet quiet kitty who prefers women, Woody would like a cat-loving, adult home. Click on his photo for a larger view.
